Join a respected hospital pharmacy team seeking an experienced Night Shift Pharmacist for a 13+ week contract assignment. This role is ideal for pharmacists with recent inpatient hospital experience who thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment and enjoy working independently overnight while collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and pharmacy technicians to deliver exceptional patient care.

Work Schedule

  • 7 nights on / 7 nights off
  • Thursday night through Wednesday night
  • 8:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • 13+ week contract assignment

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, interpret, verify, and dispense medication orders accurately
  • Monitor and manage patient medication therapies for safety and effectiveness
  • Provide clinical drug information to physicians, nurses, patients, and caregivers
  • Participate in emergency response situations and assist with medication preparation
  • Supervise and coordinate pharmacy technician workflow during overnight operations
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, pharmacy regulations, and quality standards
  • Support safe medication practices and contribute to patient-centered care initiatives
  • Maintain accurate documentation and pharmacy records

Experience Required

  • Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred
  • Experience with medication verification, IV review, and clinical pharmacy operations
  • Ability to work independently in an overnight hospital setting
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and time management skills

Education & Licensure

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited program
  • Active Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing required
