Immunizing Retail Pharmacist | Fort Jones, California

An immediate opening is available for a full-time Pharmacist to join a busy retail pharmacy team in Fort Jones, CA. This contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced pharmacists and dedicated pharmacy technicians in a fast-paced environment known for its collaborative and supportive atmosphere. The position is contract to hire, with the potential for direct hire for candidates ready to commit from the start.

Pharmacy Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in a busy retail pharmacy setting
• Administer immunizations and counsel patients on medication use and safety
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians, to ensure smooth daily operations
• Utilize ERx pharmacy software system to manage prescriptions and inventory
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards

Desired Qualifications:

• Active California Pharmacist License
• Experience in a retail pharmacy environment, preferably with immunizing pharmacist certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and team members
• Ability to work efficiently in a multi-pharmacist setting with overlapping shifts
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
