This travel opportunity offers a pivotal leadership role as Interim Director of Pharmacy at a hospital in Naples, FL. The position requires stepping in to take the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) responsibilities, ensuring smooth pharmacy operations while a permanent hire is secured. This role is perfect for a pharmacist with a strong inpatient background and management experience seeking to lead a robust pharmacy team on a flexible, travel assignment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee pharmacist scheduling and daily operations for a team of 15 pharmacists and 16 technicians
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and maintain pharmacy workflow efficiency
  • Coach and support frontline staff while fostering strong collaborative relationships with nursing partners
  • Lead meetings and assist with investigations, including drug diversion cases
  • Utilize Epic order entry system; experience with Omnicell automation is helpful but not required

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years inpatient pharmacy experience
  • At least 2 years in a pharmacy management role
  • Strong delegation and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Familiarity with efficient pharmacy workflows and regulatory requirements
  • Florida pharmacy license required; FL consultant pharmacy license preferred to serve as PIC

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • No weekend or on-call duties
