A hospital in Philadelphia is seeking an experienced inpatient pharmacist to support day and evening shifts through a contract-to-hire position. This role offers the chance to play a vital part in ensuring safe and effective medication therapy while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Both local and traveling pharmacists are encouraged to apply.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and compliance with established protocols
  • Evaluate patient allergies, medical history, drug interactions, and lab results before dispensing medications
  • Dispense medications in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
  • Provide drug information and clinical support to healthcare professionals
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and students to promote safe medication preparation practices
  • Participate in inventory management and control activities
  • Collaborate on patient care plans, including discharge planning

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year hospital pharmacy experience or APPE experience in a clinical/hospital setting preferred
  • Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License required
  • BLS certification preferred
