A pharmacy technician role is available to provide full-time support in a retail pharmacy setting. This position is a contract opportunity lasting approximately eight weeks, with an urgent start to cover for a staff member currently unavailable due to injury.
Location:
- Canal Winchester, OH area (approximately 1 hour south of Columbus)
Schedule:
- Full time, Monday through Friday
- 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (40 hours per week)
Responsibilities:
- Order entry and prescription fulfillment
- Verifying prescriptions accurately
- Assisting with phone inquiries and customer service
- Supporting pharmacist and overall workflow
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Ohio Pharmacy Technician license preferred
- Experience in retail pharmacy or similar environments
- Familiarity with long-term care, mail order, and retail pharmacy workflows
- Knowledge of pharmacy systems such as PioneerRX is a plus but not mandatory
- Willingness to work as a local hire or travel for assignment
Work Environment:
- Small team setting with one technician and one pharmacist
- Average prescription volume of approximately 130 per day
