A direct hire opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician to serve as a key liaison supporting multiple healthcare facilities across Southern Illinois. This role involves traveling regularly within an assigned territory centered around Springfield, IL, delivering expert pharmacy services and fostering strong partnerships with facility leadership and healthcare teams. The ideal candidate will be local to the Springfield area or within accessible commuting distance and eager to contribute to quality medication management and compliance efforts in long-term care settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with facility decision-makers, acting as the primary contact for pharmacy services.
  • Support facilities by providing guidance on medication therapy, regulatory compliance, and best practices in collaboration with pharmacy operations leadership.
  • Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities to expand services and introduce new pharmacy products tailored to client needs.
  • Conduct educational training sessions on pharmacy systems and medication protocols for healthcare staff.
  • Perform monthly onsite visits, medication room inspections, medication pass observations, and survey preparation to support ongoing quality improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with internal pharmacy teams to ensure coordinated and seamless service delivery.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician license required; PTCB certification highly preferred.
  • Experience in long-term care pharmacy settings preferred.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy and medication distribution software such as EMAR, Medbank, and Frameworks is a strong asset.
  • Reliable transportation required to travel within assigned facilities; flexibility for occasional overnight stays.
  • Ability to adapt to variable schedules, including occasional late-day audits.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, generally 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • Rare weekend work may be required.
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week.
