A compounding pharmacy in northwestern Montana is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to assist with both sterile and non-sterile compounding processes. This role plays a crucial part in preparing customized medications to meet patient needs in a regulated, quality-focused environment.
Responsibilities include preparing sterile and non-sterile compounded medications accurately according to prescriptions and standard operating procedures. The technician will maintain proper documentation in line with USP and regulatory guidelines, ensure aseptic techniques are followed in sterile areas, and carefully measure, weigh, mix, package, and label compounded medications. Additional duties involve supporting inventory management and assisting pharmacists with daily workflow and operational tasks, all while maintaining safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Qualifications or Desired Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active Pharmacy Technician license or eligibility to obtain before starting
- National certification (CPhT) preferred
- Experience with sterile and/or non-sterile compounding strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures precisely
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Dependable, punctual, and collaborative work approach
