Support a clinic-based pharmacy operating within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Billings, MT, as a PRN Pharmacist on an as-needed basis, primarily covering vacation and staffing gaps. This per diem opportunity offers flexibility and a chance to contribute to patient care in a dynamic retail and clinical pharmacy environment. Travel professionals are encouraged to apply.

Position Overview:

  • Setting: Clinic / Retail (FQHC)
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (10-hour shifts possible)
  • System: PioneerRx
  • Location: Billings, MT
  • Reports To: Pharmacy Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct drug utilization reviews (DURs), accurately verify and dispense prescriptions, supervise pharmacy staff, and provide patient education on medications and durable medical equipment (DME).
  • Maintain program compliance, including 340B and ADAP program integrity, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
  • Oversee pharmacy operations, including inventory management, point-of-sale (POS) system oversight, and ensuring workflow accuracy.
  • Document thoroughly using electronic health records (EHR), adhering to collaborative practice protocols to maintain precise patient records.
  • Support pharmacy technicians through training and engage in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Active Montana Pharmacist License (required).
  • Experience in retail pharmacy is mandatory.
  • Preferred experience includes working in an FQHC setting and familiarity with PioneerRx pharmacy management system.
