A retail pharmacist position is available in Cape Coral, FL, specializing in HIV/AIDS medications at a single-pharmacist site. This contract opportunity offers a supportive environment with ongoing training and a manageable prescription volume of 20-35 per day. Candidates must be licensed in Florida and prepared to maintain high standards of patient care and communication.
Responsibilities include:
- Dispensing HIV/AIDS specialty medications accurately and efficiently
- Managing pharmacy operations independently due to no pharmacy technician support
- Providing outstanding patient and provider communication to ensure optimal care
- Participating in training sessions, including a potential two-week onsite training in St. Petersburg
- Committing to reliable, punctual attendance throughout the assignment
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Florida pharmacist license required
- Minimum of one year retail pharmacy experience
- HIV/AIDS medication dispensing experience is essential and must be highlighted on the resume
- Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy software is preferred; please specify experience
- Strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude
- Ability to work independently managing all pharmacy tasks without technician assistance
Schedule:
- Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Willingness to travel to St. Petersburg for training if requested
