A specialty compounding pharmacy in northwestern Montana seeks a detail-oriented Staff Pharmacist to support and enhance non-sterile and IV compounding operations. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and support pharmacy technicians in compounding operations
- Prepare and verify non-sterile and IV compounded medications following strict guidelines
- Ensure compliance with USP 797 clean room standards and safety protocols
- Monitor quality assurance processes, documentation, audits, and equipment maintenance
- Maintain proper use of personal protective equipment and handle hazardous drugs safely
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and clinical appropriateness
- Collaborate with healthcare staff, including clinicians and providers, to optimize patient care
- Identify workflow improvements and contribute to continuous process enhancement
- Demonstrate adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- PharmD or Bachelor of Pharmacy from an accredited program
- Active or eligible Montana pharmacist license
- Experience in compounding pharmacy, including non-sterile and/or sterile operations
- Knowledge of USP 797 guidelines and quality assurance systems
- Familiarity with compounding software preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Positive, team-oriented mindset with a self-driven work ethic
