Per Diem Immunizing Retail Pharmacist in Elk Grove, CA

A Per Diem opportunity is available for experienced pharmacists with retail pharmacy expertise. The role involves providing flexible coverage across several sites in the Bay Area and Northern California, requiring candidates to be able to commute within the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide professional pharmacy services including dispensing medications, managing pharmacy operations, and ensuring patient safety.
• Handle opening and closing procedures of the pharmacy.
• Supervise and manage pharmacy technicians.
• Utilize pharmacy software systems such as McKesson’s Enterprise (ERx) and Rx30 for efficient workflow.
• Adapt to varying shift requirements, generally 1-2 shifts per week based on client needs.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy experience.
• Proven ability to manage pharmacy operations including opening/closing and tech supervision.
• Familiarity with immunizing pharmacist duties is a plus.
• Comfortable with part-time or supplementary work.
• Must be able to commute to various locations within the Bay Area and Northern California.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• References from a retail pharmacy manager are required.
