Staff Pharmacist | Harwich, Massachusetts

A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to join an outpatient/retail pharmacy attached to a hospital in Nantucket, MA. This contract position is ideal for a pharmacist with retail experience who can provide full-time coverage with a positive and professional attitude. The assignment will begin as soon as possible and is expected to last approximately 13 weeks.

Location: Nantucket, MA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5 shifts per week, 8-hour day shifts

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in an outpatient/retail pharmacy setting
• Counsel patients on proper medication usage and potential side effects
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals attached to the hospital to ensure optimal patient care
• Perform pharmacy-related administrative tasks and maintain compliance with regulations
• Provide coverage during a vacancy period, ensuring continuity of pharmacy services

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active Massachusetts pharmacist license
• Experience in retail pharmacy practice
• Availability to work full-time, daytime shifts on a consistent schedule
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
