A licensed Pharmacist is needed to lead and manage pharmacy operations in a busy retail environment. This direct hire opportunity requires a professional committed to regulatory compliance, patient care, and team leadership, working in a well-established community pharmacy setting.

Location: Plattsburgh, NY
Schedule: Variable with evening shifts required at times
Hours: Typical schedules include 4x10 or 4x12 shifts (e.g., 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register with the state board of pharmacy as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
  • Manage all pharmacy department operations, including budget, payroll, third-party administration, scheduling, and inventory management to meet financial goals.
  • Supervise and develop pharmacy support personnel through training, performance reviews, and accountability.
  • Participate in community-oriented business development activities.
  • Deliver patient-centered services, such as immunizations, MTM, and wellness programs.
  • Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication use, interactions, side effects, and monitor patient progress.
  • Uphold continuous quality improvement initiatives to maintain patient safety and service excellence.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and compliance with legal and company standards.
  • Complete required continuing education programs and other duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacist in New York State.
  • Immunization certification with confidence in administering all required vaccines.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills for managing pharmacy staff and patient interactions.
