Per Diem Retail Pharmacist in Westerville, OH

A specialty retail pharmacy is seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate pharmacist to provide expert medication management for complex patients. This per diem opportunity is based in Westerville, OH, with scheduled shifts primarily Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Training and workdays are scheduled on specific dates at the Columbus location.

This pharmacy specializes in serving patients who are managing 8 to 15 medications daily, many with chronic, advanced disease states such as diabetes, hypertension, and multiple sclerosis. Strong communication and consultation skills are essential, as the patient population includes Medicare/Medicaid and low-income individuals with low literacy rates. Patience and compassion to support these patients effectively are a must.

Key qualifications and desired experience:

• Active Ohio pharmacist license
• Strong retail pharmacy background; specialty retail experience highly preferred
• Proficient in managing complex drug regimens and chronic disease states
• Excellent patient consultation and communication skills
• Experience with Pioneer Rx software preferred

Primary responsibilities:
