Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School-Based Physical Therapist to join our team at Soliant. As a School-Based Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life and educational experience for students with physical disabilities or impairments.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students' physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement evidence-based physical therapy interventions and techniques to enhance students' motor skills, mobility, and physical functioning.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with physical disabilities.
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students, both in individual and group settings, utilizing appropriate therapeutic equipment and techniques.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, to contribute to students' educational planning and goal setting.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including treatment notes, progress reports, and billing documentation, as required by school policies and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist.
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents with physical disabilities, preferably in a school-based setting.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric physical therapy principles, techniques, and interventions.
- Proficient in using therapeutic equipment and tools relevant to school-based physical therapy.
