Radiation Therapy | Ballwin, Missouri

This opportunity seeks a skilled Radiation Therapist with experience in advanced radiation therapy equipment to deliver patient-centered care at a well-established healthcare facility in Ballwin, MO. The role offers a 13-week contract schedule with day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, totaling 36 guaranteed hours weekly with additional weekend hours as required.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments accurately using equipment such as Versa HD, Accuray Radixact, and Cyberknife.
• Perform simulations and brachytherapy procedures while maintaining precise patient records.
• Verify treatment prescriptions, patient identification, and imaging prior to each treatment session.
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging modalities including kv/kv, cone beam, and mv imaging daily.
• Ensure patient comfort and dignity throughout treatment, demonstrating clear communication and compassionate care.
• Participate in daily quality assurance activities, mandatory training, and therapy team rotations as needed.
• Utilize treatment planning software including Mosaiq, Epic, and Gating software following established protocols.
• Monitor patient progress, side effects, and coordinate with radiation oncologists for treatment adjustments.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program.
• Minimum of 1 year experience, preferably with Elekta or Accuray equipment.
• ARRT certification and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to adapt quickly, work collaboratively, and maintain attention to detail.
• Compliant with facility dress code and vaccination policies.
