A Radiation Therapist is needed for a contract opportunity in Thompson, ND. This role focuses on delivering precise radiation therapy treatments to cancer patients, ensuring accurate positioning and adherence to physician prescriptions. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with no weekend work, offering a balanced workweek.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Must hold a North Dakota radiation therapy license or conditional/temporary permit prior to start.
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required within six months of start.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association prior to start.
• Minimum of two years of experience in radiation therapy.
• Recent travel experience preferred, ideally with three completed assignments.
• Experience with Epic electronic medical records system.
• Familiarity with working in a trauma center environment is beneficial.

Responsibilities:

• Administer radiation therapy treatments in accordance with physician orders and protocols.
• Accurately position patients for radiation delivery to ensure treatment precision.
• Monitor patients for clinical changes and report any signs of complications.
• Apply radiation physics and safety principles, including wearing a radiation film badge.
• Complete quality assurance tasks and maintain accurate records.
• Perform pain assessments and respond appropriately to patient needs.
