Radiation Therapist in Rome, NY

Exciting opportunity for a skilled Radiation Therapist to join a dynamic Radiation Oncology team in Rome, NY. This contract role offers the chance to work with advanced technology and provide compassionate care to patients in need of radiation therapy.

Location: Situated in the vibrant community of Rome, NY, this position allows for local candidates within a 75-mile radius to apply with a local rate. Responsibilities:

• Deliver radiation therapy treatments using Varian 2300ix and Varian EDGE Truebeam systems
• Perform patient simulations with Siemens CT large bore equipment
• Accurately document treatments and patient information utilizing Electronic Medical Records ARIA, with familiarity in EPIC systems
• Collaborate closely with oncology team members to ensure optimal patient care
• Maintain safety protocols and compliance with regulatory standards throughout treatment processes

Qualifications:

• Current New York State licensure as a Radiation Therapist is mandatory
• Proven experience operating Varian 2300ix and Varian EDGE Truebeam technology
• Solid knowledge of Siemens CT large bore for radiation treatment simulation
• Proficient in Electronic Medical Records, specifically ARIA and EPIC systems
• Strong interpersonal skills and patient-focused approach

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday, primarily 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with some variability to accommodate patient needs
• 37.5 hours per week
