Job Title: Special Education Teacher- Self Contained Classroom
Salary: $35 - $40 / hour
Location: Red River, South Carolina
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Start/End Date: August 21, 2023 - June 1, 2024
Caseload Information: Elementary

We are seeking a Special Education Teacher to join our team in Red River, SC. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities and will be able to provide individualized instruction and support to meet their needs. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students with disabilities 
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with parents and other team members
• Assess student progress and modify instructional strategies as needed
• Provide behavior management and support for students with disabilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure a cohesive and inclusive educational environment
• Document all services provided in compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in special education or related field
• Current South Carolina teaching license in special education
• Experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities
• Knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies and behavior management techniques
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
