Requirements:
- MUST have an active RBT license from the BACB. No pending licensure. (This requirement is non-negotiable. The client has requested not to receive any candidates without an active license due to the fall off. Candidates without an active RBT license or an expired license will be rejected due to client insistence.)
Job Description:
We have an urgent opening for a Full-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide essential support to elementary students with behavior problems in Central Falls, RI. This position is crucial to ensuring that these students receive the specialized care and intervention they require to succeed in their educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans and strategies designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
- Work one-on-one with students to provide targeted behavior support and instruction.
- Collect and record data on student behavior and progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to develop and implement effective behavior management techniques.
- Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
Qualifications:
- Active RBT license from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) - No pending licensure. This is a strict requirement.
- Experience working with students with behavior problems is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow behavior intervention plans and adapt strategies as needed.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to helping students succeed.
This is an urgent backfill position, and we are seeking a dedicated RBT who can start immediately and commit to the assignment until 12/21/23.
