Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Needed - Raleigh, NC

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement Behavior Plans: Execute individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) developed by BCBAs, applying evidence-based strategies to address and manage challenging behaviors.
• Conduct Direct Therapy: Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to students, focusing on developing new skills and reinforcing positive behaviors.
• Monitor Progress: Track and record student progress, including data collection on behaviors and interventions, and report findings to supervising BCBAs.
• Support Skill Development: Assist students in acquiring functional life skills, communication skills, and social skills through structured interventions.
• Collaborate with Team: Work closely with teachers, BCBAs, and other school staff to ensure consistency in behavior management and support across different settings.
• Maintain Documentation: Keep accurate and confidential records of sessions, progress, and behavioral data in accordance with school policies and regulations.
• Communicate with Families: Provide feedback to families about their child’s progress and collaborate with them to reinforce strategies at home.

Qualifications:

• Certification: Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is required.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in psychology, education, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience working with children, particularly in a behavioral or educational setting, is highly desirable.
• Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Approach: A patient, empathetic, and student-centered approach to behavior management and support is crucial.
• Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with students, families, and school staff to create a supportive learning environment.
