Soliant is currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to cover a maternity leave position at a reputable school district near Omaha, Nebraska. This full-time opportunity provides a unique chance to support the health and well-being of students while contributing to the smooth operation of two school buildings. If you hold a Nebraska RN License and are available to start ASAP through December 22, 2023, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding role.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care and support to approximately 700 students across two school buildings.
  • Collaborate with a health para at each school site to manage daily medication administration and office visits, ensuring the health and safety of students.
  • Support data entry for charting, immunizations, communication, and other medical procedures to maintain accurate and up-to-date student health records.
  • Conduct health screenings and provide training to school staff on health-related topics and protocols.
  • Utilize a provided laptop to efficiently manage data entry tasks and maintain organized health records.
  • Work closely with students, parents, and school staff to address health concerns and provide appropriate care and guidance.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of health policies and procedures within the school district.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and external agencies as needed to meet the healthcare needs of students.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student health information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of Nebraska.
  • Strong commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services and support to students.
  • Previous experience in school nursing is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to professional growth.
  • Dedication to maintaining accurate and organized health records and data entry tasks.
  • Availability to work full-time, from 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM, covering the maternity leave position.
  • Enthusiasm for promoting a healthy and safe school environment for students.
