Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to join our school team in Reserve, LA. This position is full-time, and the RN will play a crucial role in providing healthcare services and support to our school community.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care and support to students, staff, and visitors as needed.
• Administer medication and medical treatments as prescribed for students with diabetes and other health conditions.
• Monitor and manage the health and well-being of students with diabetes, ensuring proper glucose monitoring, insulin administration, and dietary management.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care as required.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement health management plans for students with specific medical needs.
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation.
• Promote a safe and healthy school environment.
• Provide health education and training as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN State License.
• Experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing is preferred.
• Knowledge and expertise in caring for students with diabetes is essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to promoting the health and well-being of students.
