Position Overview:
As a contracted Special Education Teacher through Soliant, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for students with special needs. You will work collaboratively with a team of educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Provide differentiated instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and parents to ensure the success of each student.
  • Monitor and track student progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student growth and development.
  • Maintain accurate and organized student records and reports.
  • Stay current on best practices and trends in special education.
  • Attend IEP meetings and communicate effectively with parents and caregivers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid Illinois PEL teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed.
  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
