An opportunity is available for a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with robust skills and a versatile approach to patient care in a dynamic hospital environment. Responsibilities
- Perform arterial blood gases (ABGs), including radial or brachial punctures
- Administer a full spectrum of respiratory treatments for NICU Level llB, MICU, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
- Provide respiratory support in the ER, PACU, and inpatient units across all floors
- Assist with intubations, respiratory equipment management, and initiate CPAP in certain cases
- Float across specialties such as ICU, MICU, MS-Tele, ER, with the ability to adapt quickly to varying patient care needs
- Participate in orientation with 1-2 shifts and a preceptor, covering both NICU/general and ICU care
Qualifications and Desired Experience
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) not accepted
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; NRP certification required for NICU assignments
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, comfortable with floating among units and specialties
- Experience with advanced respiratory equipment including Drager V500, Hamilton, ReVel, V60s, Vapotherm, and EPOC monitors
- Ability to assist with intubations and work collaboratively with intensivists, hospitalists, and anesthesia teams on-site 24/7
Schedule & Work Environment
- Shifts vary: Days (7:00 AM–7:30 PM), Evenings (11:00 AM–11:30 PM), Nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
- Self-scheduling with flexibility to fill staffing gaps; weekend and holiday rotations required (every other weekend)
- Floating may include sister facilities within approximately 10–14 miles radius
- Clean, professional dress code with flexible scrub colors accepted
