A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Respiratory Therapist skilled in critical care. This contract position is based in Candler, NC, offering a 13-week assignment with flexible hours, primarily working 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. This role involves floating throughout the hospital to various inpatient units including the Emergency Department, ICU, and Orthopedics, providing a dynamic and engaging work environment.
Key responsibilities include managing ventilators and respiratory treatments, performing intubations, and covering critical care needs with a focus on patients requiring C-section post-operative respiratory support. Charting is conducted using the Epic system, emphasizing the need for strong documentation skills.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist with current NBRC and North Carolina RRT certification
- AHA certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Critical Care, with previous travel therapy experience preferred
- Proven proficiency in intubation, ventilator management, and treatments
- Experience in caring for C-section patients required
- Proficient with Epic electronic health records system
Schedule Details:
- 12-hour night shifts (6:30 p.m. to 7 a.m.)
- Up to 36 hours per week, with no blocked scheduling
- Every other weekend availability required
- Orientation includes day and night shifts
- Facility may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty
