A healthcare professional is needed to provide expert respiratory therapy for patients requiring intensive respiratory care and safe transport within a facility focused on critical illness and rehabilitation. This contract role calls for a knowledgeable respiratory therapist to evaluate patients, implement treatment plans, and educate patients on care and equipment use.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver physician-prescribed respiratory treatments using invasive and non-invasive ventilatory equipment and oxygen therapy devices
  • Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, oximetry, capnography, and pulmonary function tests
  • Conduct arterial punctures, tracheostomy care, and assist with bronchoscopy and chest tube placement procedures
  • Monitor patient ventilation, maintain accurate treatment records, and communicate therapy effectiveness to physicians
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical ventilation equipment and support preventive maintenance efforts
  • Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation in compliance with BLS and ACLS guidelines
  • Ensure all respiratory therapy documentation is precise and submitted according to policy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credentials
  • Experience delivering respiratory care in critical illness or rehabilitation settings
  • Ability to perform complex respiratory procedures and operate ventilatory equipment independently
  • Strong communication skills to educate patients and collaborate with healthcare providers
