A healthcare opportunity is available for an experienced Respiratory Therapist with a strong background in adult critical care and a passion for delivering high-quality respiratory support. This contract position offers the chance to work in a busy 241-bed hospital recognized as a Level 3 Trauma Center, Certified Chest Pain Center, and Stroke Center, serving a diverse patient population ranging from infants to geriatrics.

Location: Situated in Kings Mountain, NC, this hospital provides access to multiple facilities within the region, including Cleveland, Lincoln, and various freestanding emergency departments. The area combines small-town charm with proximity to larger urban centers, offering both convenience and a welcoming community atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory care across all aspects of adult critical care, with pediatric and infant care experience preferred.
• Float as required to facilities within the region, supporting patient care needs across sites.
• Utilize technology including EPIC EMR, Omnicell medication dispensing, Masimo monitors, and advanced ventilators such as Servo I and Trilogy.
• Adhere to departmental guidelines and collaborate with hospitalists available 24/7 and virtual intensivists for after-hours support.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain exceptional clinical standards.

Qualifications:

• Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) with active NC licensure.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years’ respiratory therapy experience.
• Flexibility to work a 12-hour night shift schedule (7 PM – 7:30 AM) with weekend rotation every other weekend.
• Willingness to work approximately 75% of holidays throughout the contract.
