A healthcare facility in Meridian, ID is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist on a contract basis. This role requires working across multiple specialty areas, including NICU Level IIB, MICU, Pediatrics, Adults, and Geriatrics. The therapist will provide comprehensive respiratory care covering ER, inpatient floors, and may float to sister facilities nearby.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer respiratory treatments and manage respiratory equipment
  • Perform arterial blood gases (ABGs) via radial or brachial approach
  • Assist with intubation procedures (independent intubation not required)
  • Care for a diverse patient population including NICU, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
  • Float between ICU, MICU, telemetry, ER, and PACU as needed
  • Participate in overnight oximetry monitoring and delivery room support for NICU patients
  • Collaborate with intensivists, anesthesiology, and eICU teams available 24/7
  • Engage in self-scheduling with flexibility to fill staffing gaps and rotate shifts

Qualifications:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required (CRT not accepted)
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; NRP required for NICU assignments
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting
  • Comfortable working across multiple specialties and locations, including potential float to sister facilities 10-14 miles away
  • Prefer experience with Level II NICU, CPAP initiation, and pediatric ER stabilization
  • Ability to work varied shifts: Days (7:00 AM–7:30 PM), Evenings (11:00 AM–11:30 PM), Nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
  • Willing to work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotations as needed
