Provide advanced respiratory care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist within a leading Level I Trauma teaching hospital offering extended care services including a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center. This contract role encompasses working night shifts in a dynamic, patient-focused environment utilizing EPIC EMR and a range of ventilator technologies.
Location:
Position is based in Mooresville, NC, a vibrant community known for its access to Lake Norman, recreational activities, and proximity to metropolitan areas. Mooresville combines small-town charm with modern amenities, making it an appealing place to live and work.
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour Night Shifts (1900-0700)
- Weekend rotation every other week
- Travelers will work 75% of holidays
- No on-call or call-back requirements
- Schedule cycles every 6 weeks
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with North Carolina licensure
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience, including IPPV/NIPPV ventilator use
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
- Experience across multiple care settings: ED, ICU, PCU, and general medical floors
- Ability and willingness to float within the regional hospital network as needed
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to diverse patient populations using advanced ventilator management techniques
- Collaborate with respiratory leadership and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient monitoring
- Participate in orientation and departmental training programs
