About the Position:

Our retail pharmacy in Natchitoches is seeking an experienced interim pharmacy manager to join our team for a temporary assignment of 8-13 weeks. As a full-time traveler, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our retail pharmacy, including ensuring the safe and effective use of medications and providing excellent customer service to our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the retail pharmacy, including dispensing medications, overseeing inventory management, and managing staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to medication use.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized medication therapy plans.
  • Provide drug information to healthcare providers and patients as needed.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions and make appropriate adjustments to their medication regimen.
  • Manage the staffing schedule to ensure adequate coverage during business hours.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and resolve any issues that arise.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active pharmacy license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent outpatient or retail pharmacy experience.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug therapy, and medication management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to hold a PIC license for pharmacy.
