RN/LPN for School Health Room role - Redmond, Washington

Soliant is working with a school district in the Redmond, WA area to prescreen, interview and hire a school nurse. Can be a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical/Vocational nurse. 

Position Overview:

As a School Health Room Nurse, you will play a critical role in supporting the health and well-being of our students. You will be responsible for providing high-quality healthcare services, first aid, and health education to students, as well as assisting in the management of health-related records and programs. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide immediate and appropriate medical care to students in the event of illness or injury.
• Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate medication records.
• Monitor and manage students with chronic health conditions, ensuring they have necessary accommodations and support.
• Conduct health assessments and screenings as required by state regulations.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other school staff to develop and implement individualized healthcare plans.
• Maintain and update health records and ensure compliance with state and district policies.
• Educate students on health-related topics and promote healthy lifestyles.
• Assist in promoting a safe and healthy school environment.

Qualifications:

• Current Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Experience in pediatric or school nursing is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Compassionate and caring demeanor.
• Knowledge of relevant health laws and regulations.

Contract Details:

• This is a W2 contract position for the 2023/2024 academic year.
• Soliant can offer other contracts for the 24/25 school year and onward if desired by applicant
• Hourly compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications.
• Range estimated: $30 - $45 PER HOUR
• Driving/travel stipends available for those who qualify.
• Weekly pay, every Friday.
• Off on weekends, evenings, and school holidays/breaks.
