Job Details:
- Job Type: Full-Time

Job Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough functional behavior assessments (FBA) to identify the root causes of challenging behaviors displayed by students.
- Create personalized behavior intervention plans (BIP) based on FBA results, utilizing evidence-based methods and strategies.
- Provide training and assistance to staff members in implementing behavior intervention plans, ensuring consistent and suitable interventions.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of behavior intervention plans by systematically gathering and analyzing student behavior data.
- Collaborate closely with school staff, parents, and community organizations to ensure the student's unique needs are met, maintaining consistent interventions in various settings.
- Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, offering valuable input on the development of behavior management-related goals and objectives.
- Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in behavior analysis and share this knowledge with school personnel to promote ongoing improvement.
Qualifications:
- Possess a valid Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Previous experience working with students who have disabilities and exhibit challenging behaviors in a school environment is preferred but not obligatory.
- Demonstrate exceptional organizational and communication skills to effectively collaborate with school staff, parents, and community organizations.
- Possess a strong understanding of federal and state laws related to special education and behavior management in schools.
