Job Details:

• Student Grade Levels: K-12th

Job Responsibilities:

1. Perform thorough functional behavior assessments (FBA) to identify the root causes of challenging behaviors displayed by students.
2. Create personalized behavior intervention plans (BIP) based on FBA results, utilizing evidence-based methods and strategies.
3. Provide training and assistance to staff members in implementing behavior intervention plans, ensuring consistent and suitable interventions.
4. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of behavior intervention plans by systematically gathering and analyzing student behavior data.
5. Collaborate closely with school staff, parents, and community organizations to ensure the student's unique needs are met, maintaining consistent interventions in various settings.
6. Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, offering valuable input on the development of behavior management-related goals and objectives.
7. Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in behavior analysis and share this knowledge with school personnel to promote ongoing improvement.

Qualifications:

1. Possess a valid Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
2. Previous experience working with students who have disabilities and exhibit challenging behaviors in a school environment is preferred but not obligatory.
3. Demonstrate exceptional organizational and communication skills to effectively collaborate with school staff, parents, and community organizations.
4. Possess a strong understanding of federal and state laws related to special education and behavior management in schools.
