School-Based Occupational Therapist Position

Contract: Full Time - 35 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP - June 16, 2023

Summary
We are seeking a highly enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our special education school. Our school specializes in providing support services to students with Autism and mid to low functioning students. You will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services and interventions that promote the health, safety, and independence of students.

Responsibilities
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate student treatment programs
• Develop and implement interventions to address physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and sensory processing needs
• Collaborate with school personnel and parents to develop strategies for the promotion of student progress
• Maintain appropriate documentation and records of student interventions
• Attend/participate in IEP meetings
• Participate in professional development activities

Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current state license as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience working with children with special needs
• Ability to work with multiple positions (3 up to 21-year-olds)
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
