Position: School Based Occupational Therapist (OT)

Soliant Health is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our wonderful school district located in Boston, MA for the 2023-2024 school year. As an OT in our school district, you will play a vital role in helping students develop the skills they need to participate in their educational environment and achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to students with diverse needs, including sensory processing difficulties, motor coordination challenges, and fine motor delays
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' access to the curriculum and promote independence in daily activities
- Implement evidence-based interventions and therapeutic techniques to address students' goals and objectives
- Provide direct therapy sessions, as well as consultation and collaboration with teachers to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom environment
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other required paperwork
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development and review of students' goals
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Illinois by start date
- Valid state of Illinois Teaching Certification PREFERRED - not required.
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in an educational setting
- Knowledge of various disabilities and developmental disorders affecting students' occupational performance
- Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive equipment to support students' needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
