Job Overview:
As a school-based OT, you will collaborate with educators, parents, and fellow therapists to create individualized treatment plans tailored to students’ unique needs. You'll assess, diagnose, and treat students with various physical, emotional, or developmental challenges, enabling them to succeed in the classroom and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop personalized therapy plans
- Provide direct therapy to students individually and in group settings
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support classroom goals
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to the student’s overall success plan
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active California OT license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Job Details:
- Contract position starting in 2025
- Full-time or part-time schedules available
- Caseload: K-12 students with varying needs
- Average hourly pay: $50–$65/hour (based on experience and qualifications)
