Job Description:
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in Newton, KS. In this role, you will work with students in a school setting to help them develop, recover, improve, and maintain the skills needed for daily living and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and Evaluate: Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students’ functional levels and needs.
  • Develop and Implement Plans: Create individualized treatment plans to help students achieve their goals.
  • Provide Therapy: Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students individually and in small groups.
  • Monitor Progress: Track and document student progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate occupational therapy goals into the classroom and school environment.
  • Support Student Growth: Foster a positive and encouraging environment to help students improve their fine motor skills, sensory processing, and overall independence.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Certification: Certified Occupational Therapist (OTR) through NBCOT preferred.
  • Licensure: Must have or be eligible for OT licensure in Kansas.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
