We are seeking a skilled and experienced Physical Therapist to join our school district in New Haven, Connecticut. Our organization is dedicated to providing high-quality physical therapy services to children in the school setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating gross motor disorders in children and providing therapy services in the school setting. This position is very part-time at one half day a week.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to identify gross motor disorders in children.
- Develop and implement treatment plans to address physical therapy issues.
- Provide therapy services to children in individual or group settings in the school setting.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Keep accurate records of student progress and treatment plans.
- Communicate with families and caregivers to provide education and support.
- Attend regular meetings with school staff and continuing education opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Active Connecticut State licensure in Physical Therapy.
- Experience working in a school-based setting is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
