A well-established educational institution in Woodstock, IL is seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their team for the 2023-2024 school year. This is a full-time position focused on providing speech and language services to early childhood and kindergarten-age students, with a preference for candidates with experience in low-incidence populations.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to determine students' speech and language needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals for students
  • Provide direct therapy services to address speech and language disorders and delays
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to support students' communication skills in the classroom setting
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Monitor and document student progress and make adjustments to therapy plans as needed
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers, paraprofessionals, and parents in implementing strategies to promote speech and language development
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) in Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Illinois
  • Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) license
  • ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) is preferred
  • Experience working as an SLP, with a preference for experience in early childhood and low-incidence populations
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and interventions for speech and language disorders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and staff members
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping
