About Us: We are a dedicated team of educators committed to making a meaningful impact on the lives of young children in Flint, Michigan. As a School Social Worker, you'll play a vital role in providing early intervention and tier 1 support for children aged 3-5, fostering their social-emotional development.

Position Highlights:

  • Start Date/End Date: 23-24 School Year
  • Hours per week: Full-time
  • # of Schools/Ages: Early Intervention to Preschool (ages 3-5)
  • Caseload/Job Details: Itinerant role across buildings; Onsite roles for the Early Childhood program may require vaccination or waiver eligibility.
  • Types of Disabilities: The children in this program do not have disabilities; your role will focus on preventive interventions and implementing best practices to support their social-emotional needs.
  • Client Non-negotiables: MI Social Worker with 310 approval letter; Temporary approval is acceptable.

Your Role: As a School Social Worker, your mission is to support the social-emotional development of young children. Your responsibilities include:

  • Providing early intervention and tier 1 support to children aged 3-5.
  • Implementing preventive interventions and best practices in classrooms.
  • Collaborating with educators, parents, and students to create a supportive environment.
  • Making a positive impact on the lives of young learners.
