Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Kentfield, CA. The SLP will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in students, helping them reach their full academic and social potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each student’s unique needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students individually and in groups, focusing on improving speech and language skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom and home environments.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to develop and review student-specific goals and objectives.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective intervention.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
- Provide training and support to teachers and parents on strategies to enhance students’ communication skills.
- Stay current with best practices, research, and continuing education in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid SLP license or certification in California.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a school setting is an advantage.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
