Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Pomona, CA. The SLP will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in students, helping them achieve success both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's specific needs.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to enhance students' communication abilities.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom and at home.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to develop, review, and update student goals and progress.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
  • Offer training and resources to teachers and parents on strategies to support students' speech and language development.
  • Stay current with the latest research, techniques, and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid SLP license or certification in California.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Experience working in a school setting is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
