Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Quartz Hill, CA. The SLP will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in students, helping them succeed academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each student’s specific needs.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to improve students' speech and language skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom and home environments.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to develop and review student goals and progress.
- Monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure effective outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
- Provide training and support to teachers and parents on strategies to enhance students’ communication skills.
- Stay current with best practices, research, and continuing education in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid SLP license or certification in California.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA is preferred.
- Experience working in a school setting is a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
