School Counselor Needed

A School Near Compton, CA needs a Spanish Teacher to fill an immediate opening. Candidate will be working in a school setting with a supportive staff and great atmosphere. If you are interested, please review the details and apply below. Interviews will be held as soon as possible. 

Job Details:

• Full Time: M-F 8:43am-3:17pm (flexible) 40 hours
• Contract Dates: ASAP-EOSY
• Case Load: 2 schools, 34 students
• Autistic spectrum low to high functioning
• 18–22-year-old (socially very young and cognitively students are looking for functional abilities) social at a middle school age
• Group sessions of 3-6 in a group session
• Help students meet their curriculum goals
• Provides individual and group counseling
• IEP Assessments and goals
• Clinical meetings once a week
• On Site

Requirements: 

• California State License/ Certifcation
• Masters Level Degree
• Experience using Welligent and Power School for IEP’s
• Fingerprint clearance (valid for 4 years ,will need to be obtained before start date)
• TB tests (valid for 4 years, will need to obtained before start date)
• Experience helping students through academics, social, and emotional problems
• Strong Verbal and written communication skills

This position is paid at a W2 hourly rate via direct deposit.
