Position: Full-Time Special Education Teacher (2023-2024)
Location: Lexington, SC

As a Full-Time Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging educational experience for students with special needs. You will collaborate with a dynamic team of educators, specialists, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), provide instructional support, and facilitate students' academic, social, and emotional growth. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, along with a deep commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the IEP team
- Adapt instructional materials and methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students with disabilities
- Provide direct instruction to students in various subjects, focusing on individual goals and objectives
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion and provide necessary accommodations and modifications
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, assessments, and IEPs
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in special education

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a school setting
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with students with special needs
