We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our partnered school district in Oak Brook, IL. As a School-Based Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting and maintaining the health and well-being of students within our school community. This is a full-time position for the 2023-2024 school year, providing an excellent opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students.

Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to students, including health assessments, treatments, and interventions, in accordance with medical protocols and individual care plans.
- Administer medication, monitor students with chronic conditions, and respond to medical emergencies as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement health management plans for students with specific medical needs.
- Conduct health screenings, immunization assessments, and maintain accurate health records for all students.
- Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics, including preventive care, healthy lifestyle choices, and managing chronic illnesses.
- Serve as a resource and liaison between the school, healthcare providers, and community organizations.

Qualifications:
- Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of current nursing practices.
- Ability to assess and respond effectively to medical emergencies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with students, parents, staff, and healthcare providers.
- Organizational skills to manage student health records and documentation efficiently.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to student health and confidentiality.
