Licensed Practical Nurse

Type: Full-time, (2023-2024 school year)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:45 am to 3:15 pm when school is in session

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse (LPN) to provide support in a small Pre K classroom during the 2023-2024 school year. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of the students. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in pediatric nursing. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized medical care and support to special needs students in a small classroom setting
• Monitor and manage equipment, ensuring proper functioning and cleanliness
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals
• Assess and document the students' health status regularly, including vital signs, symptoms, and any changes in condition
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to develop and implement a comprehensive care plan
• Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies, providing immediate care and following established protocols
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all nursing interventions, observations, and communication related to the student's care

Requirements:

• Valid and current LPN license
• Previous experience in pediatric nursing
• Ability to assess and respond effectively to medical emergencies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Compassionate, patient, and able to establish rapport with students
• Ability to collaborate and work as part of a multidisciplinary team

Contract Details:

• This is a W2 contract position for the 2023/2024 academic year.
• Renewals are available for the right fit.
• Competitive compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications.
• Driving/travel stipends available for those who qualify.
• Benefits available (Health, vision, dental, and 401k with employer match).
• Weekly pay, every Friday.
• Hourly pay, negotiable based on experience of applicant. Off on weekends, evenings, and school holidays/breaks.
