School Nurse (RN) Full School Year Contract

A prestigious school in Elizabeth City, NC, is seeking two exceptional Registered Nurses to join our team—one for our high school and one for our elementary school—for the full 23'-24' school year.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to students, including administering medications, conducting health assessments, and managing student health conditions.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
• Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic health conditions.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to student healthcare needs.
• Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics and preventive measures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records and documentation.

Requirements:

• Valid and current Registered Nurse license in the state of North Carolina.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric health conditions, medication administration, and emergency protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff members.
