Title: School Occupational Therapist Needed in Seattle, WA

Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated School Occupational Therapist to join our team in Seattle, Washington. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' motor, sensory, perceptual, and cognitive skills.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' specific needs and facilitate their participation in classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to promote students' overall development and achievement.
  • Provide direct therapy services, including interventions to improve fine motor skills, handwriting, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
  • Monitor students' progress and adjust intervention strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress reports, and other relevant records.
  • Stay informed about best practices, research findings, and relevant legislation in the field of occupational therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Washington.
  • Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a school or pediatric setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to providing culturally responsive and inclusive services to students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
