Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory integration, and activities of daily living
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students' specific needs and goals
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students with disabilities, focusing on improving functional performance in educational settings
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' participation and success in the classroom
• Modify classroom environments and provide recommendations for adaptive equipment to enhance student access and participation
• Document and monitor student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on students' goals and progress
• Stay updated on best practices and evidence-based interventions in occupational therapy

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Valid state licensure or certification in Occupational Therapy in Delaware
• Prior experience working with school-aged children, preferably in an educational setting
• Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to develop positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
